Description
This button was part of the clothing worn by Trần Thắng Tài during his imprisonment in a Communist "re-education" camp, where he was held from 1977/78 to 1982 for leading a rebellion against the Communist regime. He was executed by firing squad on the morning of June 14, 1982 at Hàm Kiệm in Phan Thiết, Vietnam. This button was one of the few personal items recovered by his family after his death.
