VHM_0026
These fragments of a tooth belonged to Trần Thắng Tài and were recovered by his family during the exhumation of his grave. The tooth was likely dislodged when he bit down the stone that had been forced into his mouth to silence him during his execution by firing squad (see related artifact VHM_0024). Trần Thắng Tài had been imprisoned since 1977/1978 for leading a rebellion against the Communist regime and was executed on June 14, 1982 at Hàm Kiệm in Phan Thiết, Vietnam.
Object donated to the Vietnamese Heritage Museum by Trần Ngọc Ánh, in honor of her late husband, Trần Thắng Tài.
