"Re-education" Camp

Photographs taken of Trần Thắng Tài's execution and burial sites. Date of Trần Thắng Tài's portrait is unknown (c. 1970s).  

Upon his release, Diệp’s father carefully preserved the mango seed cup as a personal relic from his years of imprisonment.

The mango-shaped cup was carved by Nguyễn Ngọc Diệp’s father during his imprisonment at Trại K3 (K3 Camp) in Vĩnh Phú.

The comb was secretly given to Vũ Huy Thâm’s family during their visit to the Gia Trung "re-education" camp in Pleiku.

This comb was crafted by Vũ Huy Thâm while imprisoned at the Gia Trung "re-education" camp in Pleiku. 

Gifted to Father Nguyễn Hữu Lễ by a close friend during his 11 years in prisons in Northern Vietnam, including time at Quyết Tiến disciplinary camp near the Chinese border, also known as Heaven’s Gate Prison.
