This red bag was used by Đinh Hữu Quân to carry his personal belongings during his escape by boat from Saigon, Vietnam on June 19th, 1988. After two and a half days at sea, he arrived at Paulau Redang on June 22nd. He and his family were moved to the Pulau Bidong refugee camp where they stayed for a year until their resettlement in the U.S. in late 1989.
Object donated to the Vietnamese Heritage Museum by Đinh Hữu Quân.

The bag moved with Đinh Hữu Quân and his family to the U.S. where they were resettled.
