Description
A traditional bronze balance scale, commonly used by food vendors in Vietnam to weigh produce and other goods in the marketplace before modern weighing devices. After resettling in the U.S. as a refugee, Huỳnh Đức Diêu, currently residing in Louisiana, returned to Vietnam and acquired this scale as part of his effort to preserve tangible reminders of daily Vietnamese life.
