Tea pot Origin
Not much is known about the origin of this pot though the donor believes it to be an "antique."
Not much is known about this artifact but its significance lies in the status of its owner: Tony Lam, who served on the Westminster City Council from 1992-2002 and was the first Vietnamese person to be elected into a political office in the U.S. Lam's daughter, an avid antique collector, bought this during a trip to Vietnam after the family had resettled in the U.S. and gifted it to her father upon her return to California. The teapot is made of porcelain with metal handles, and is hand-painted with blue nautical images, including that of a crab, a lobster, and a fish.
