As the specialist in your field, you have considerable freedom in shaping and formulating your contribution. Any direction given by the Academic Editorial Committee in the attached Contribution Scope document is designed to enhance the coherency of the contributions and to avoid overlap and gaps. The Committee requests that you incorporate a multidisciplinary approach of the subject and pay explicit attention, where relevant, to the following facets: social aspects such as hierarchy, gender, age, and ethnicity; the earliest and latest occurrence of the object or phenomenon; material and technology; function and meaning; origin, development, and sources of our knowledge.
