How to finalize an editorial decision
Once the reviews have been completed
- Schedule a meeting with the Editorial Board to finalize a decision.
- Once an editorial decision has been reached, inform the author of the decision and record the decision in the UEE eScholarship system.
- Log in to the UEE eScholarship system.
- Once you are logged in, you will be on the UEE eScholarship Home Page. Under UCLA Encyclopedia of Egyptology in the middle of the page, you see a link to “Manage Section”. Clicking on this link will open a list of articles “In Review” in your section.
- Select the appropriate article.
- Open the REVIEW page and scroll down to Editor Decision section.
- Select the decision from the dropdown after Record New Decision and then click Record Decision.
- Notify author by clicking on the email icon before “Send email to author regarding editorial decision”.
- Add uee@humnet.ucla.edu to the cc field.
- If the submission has been accepted or accepted with revisions, attach the Consent to Publish in the attachment field and click Upload.
- Insert or attach the summary of revisions requested if appropriate.
- Follow the directions in the yellow box.
- Click send.
