Library Data Science Center – UCLA Library’s data unit; staff specialize in teaching data literacy, coding skills for researchers, data management and preservation, data cleaning, data analyses and visualizations, and open science.

DataSquad – a student-led team that supports data-related projects at UCLA, as a part of the Library Data Science Center. They facilitate data processes for sustainable, replicable, and reproducible research through in-person and virtual consultations. We aim to streamline the process of data analysis and other data-related tasks for students, faculty, and researchers. 

UCLA Library Lux Lab – UCLA Library’s emerging technologies unit; staff specialize in 3D scanning, 3D printing, laser etching and cutting, large format printing, aerial mapping, and 360 immersive projections for research projects.

BRIDGE Innovation LabBlending Research and Instruction in Data-Generated Environments; collaborative exploration space for social science researchers; staff specialize in XR (Augmented, Virtual, and Mixed Reality).

IDRE Sandbox – interdisciplinary computing facility; staff specialize in computer modeling, GIS, web authoring, web programming, graphics, animation, image processing, compression and archiving applications.

YRL Scholarly Innovation Lab – collaborative workspace for research projects and working groups in YRL; staff specialize in 3D modeling.

The Digital Research Consortium (DRC) is a working community of practice with committed people, space, infrastructure, and equipment for doing digital research. Currently centered in the YRL Scholarly Innovation Lab (SIL), the DRC is a multidisciplinary network of labs—including the DAL—that supports prototyping, developing, and advancing digital scholarship.
